VOLUNTEER AT TOOLFEST

Volunteers are the heartbeat of TOOLFEST! By joining us, you help create an engaging, educational, and safe environment for students to explore careers in the built environment. Whether you love working with youth, enjoy hands-on activities, or want to support workforce development, volunteering at TOOLFEST is a rewarding way to make a real impact.

Why Volunteer:

  • Inspire the Next Generation: Help students discover tools, trades, and career pathways they might not otherwise encounter. Your guidance can spark curiosity and confidence in future builders.

  • Hands-On Experience: Assist with student projects, safety demonstrations, and interactive booths, giving you the chance to engage directly with students and industry partners.

  • Be Part of a Community: Work alongside industry professionals, educators, sponsors, and fellow volunteers to create a fun, organized, and meaningful event.

  • Professional Development & Networking: Volunteering offers opportunities to build connections with local companies, community organizations, and educators invested in workforce development.

  • Recognition & Impact: Volunteers are acknowledged for their time and contributions, helping students navigate the event and ensuring everyone has a safe, enjoyable experience.

What to Expect:

  • Assist with student groups, guiding them through activities and exhibits.

  • Support vendors and sponsors with hands-on demonstrations and booth logistics.

  • Help with event setup, registration, and orientation sessions.

  • Ensure safety, organization, and a positive experience for all participants.

Requirements:

All volunteers must complete registration and attend the required orientation session (schedule posted October 6, 2025) to review event procedures, safety protocols, and their assigned responsibilities. Volunteers must be connected with a business, school, organization. We lack the capacity to organize single volunteers not associated with groups.

Volunteering at TOOLFEST is not just about helping run an event — it’s about empowering youth, building community, and inspiring the builders of tomorrow.
